Direct Access (DAS)

Our school has rapidly gained a reputation for excellence in motorcycle training, with pass rates that are far above the industry average. We employ a team of highly qualified Instructors that specialise in getting YOU through your training from start to finish. Whether you are looking for a CBT, A2 or DAS course - we can help!

The National Pass Rate for the Motorcycle Practical Test is currently 64%.
92% of our customers pass first time!

We are very proud of our pass rate and are determined to maintain this high level of success. The reason for our high success rate is our approach to bike riding. We aim for the highest possible score, rather than the minimum required to pass a bike test. Your safety and enjoyment of motorcycling is dependent on a solid foundation of good training; that is why we provide excellent facilities, and professional Instructors who are among the best in their field.

Beware of cheaper A2 / DAS courses! We've received complaints from a number of our CBT customers who have taken cheaper courses elsewhere and suffered poor standards of training and equipment. In some cases, they have had to start again and pay for a second course to pass their test. Please don't gamble with your motorcycle training and only book with a reputable school!

Due to the ever increasing expectations of the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Examiners, and customer requests for 'out of working hours' training, we have devised the following training schedules that meet all the various criteria.

What is DAS training?

The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is designed for riders over 21 years old, who wish to ride bikes of unlimited size and power. Training is initially conducted on 125cc bikes, and progresses to 500cc bikes that are used for the practical test. Course lengths are determined by the individual's level of skill and competence - novice riders will naturally require more training than experienced riders! The number of days spent on training is advised by our instructors after a free assessment of your riding skill. They are also happy to discuss your needs as a rider and offer the best training package to meet those needs.

What do i do next?

We can train you from complete novice through to riding unlimited bikes, or begin at any point in between. Your first step is to undergo a one day CBT course. From there, we will arrange for you to sit the Written Theory Test, which you must have before your Practical Test. We have the Written Theory Test on computer in our classroom and students may practice as much as they wish prior to the actual test. After an agreed number of days training we will accompany you to a nominated test centre, where you will carry out the Practical Test.

Course Prices and Schedules
Prices are all inclusive (i.e. bike hire, insurance, excess waiver, test fee, fuel, equipment & VAT)

2.5 Days £499
Suitable for good experienced riders already using a manual bike and those who may have already ridden larger machines (subject to an assessment*). Course consists of 2 days training on a 500cc Honda plus pre-test preparation, presentation for test and return on the half day.

3.5 Days £634
Suitable for reasonably experienced riders already using a manual bike (subject to an assessment*). Course consists of 1 day on a 125cc machine and 2 days training on a 500cc Honda plus pre-test preparation, presentation for test and return on the half day.

4.5 Days £769
Suitable for beginners with little experience of riding a manual bike (subject to an assessment*). Course consists of 2 days on a 125cc machine and 2 days training on a 500cc Honda plus pre-test preparation, presentation for test and return on the half day.

* The assessment can be conducted as part of a CBT course taken with us on the relevant machine (manual or auto), or a separate 20 minute assessment ride taken the relevant machine. A charge of £40 is made for the latter which is then refunded off your course cost (to stop joy riders!). N.B. Extra days may be added to the standard courses above where needed; the assessment is conducted by experienced instructors, both too little and too much training are counter-productive.
